Coleton Fishacre

Did an interior photography shoot yesterday for the National Trust at Coleton Fishacre… a beautiful ‘Holiday Home’ for the D’Oyly Carte family.  Built in the Jazz Age of the 1920′s, it has a great garden with semi tropical planting and a valley that runs all the way to the sea.  In fact, the National Trust bought the short stretch of coastline that came with the garden, and got the house with it!  Its an arts and craft type building with great views and big rooms…. nice and spacious for interior photography…. only trouble was, it was possibly the darkest day I have ever had to shoot in, so the lighting and styling was very tricky…Anyway, here’s a detail from a painting in the library at Coleton Fishacre… thats a huge Crow!
