Due to my penchant for cashmere jumpers and deck shoes, I was the obvious choice to shoot the latest ‘look book’ for skateboard and skategear supremos, Route One. An interesting change of venue from the usual beautifully turned out interiors that I photograph for glossy mags and hotels – this was a disused warehouse in Frome, Somerset with a gritty character and atmosphere, just right for the urban gear. The weather was shocking but thanks to Max Baines and his team, we had two highly productive days – always a bonus when the client knows exactly what they want from the images.
