Well, the year's turned and I'm mooching around in the office trying to reorganise/springclean and generally do nothing! It was a good year (2012) and you can read a review here... At the moment its snowing here in Bristol, so any excuse to discuss 'not snowing' weather would be gratefully received!15 7 12

Top Floor Rugs 2012
I spent an enjoyable day photographing the beautiful rugs designed by top designer Esti Barnes recently. Her company, ‘Top Floor Rugs‘ has become a leading source for distinctive contemporary hand-made rugs and carpets, and recently won ‘Best of Year’ at Interior Design magazine’s annual awards. The company were also commended in the Elle Deco awards of 2012 for ‘best showroom’ (at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre). Gorgeous rugs that feel beautiful and look like works of art…
Good Interior Photography relies on a number of factors, one of which is the styling, and in this case, the excellent Claudia Bryant was indispensable, as was Jo Israelsohn of Top Floor’s PR company Portrait Communications….
Stock pics from last March
having a morning-in editing the stock photography images… this lot to go to Getty and GapPhotos… Looking forward to spring already!
Wintery days can be difficult for a photographer… after days in the office, I’ll try and escape to the allotment, and its amazing what beauty you can find if you’re desperate!
Wintery branches make a great frame for this shot of the London Eye… my little G11 Canon is a constant companion… RAW images, zoom lens, solid construction… thats all you need for a snappy camera..
Which way??! I toned this images with a bit of blue…seems to suit the cold weather … ever seen the work of James Ravilious? fabulous photographer who spent a lifetime documenting the Devon communities who lived near him in North Devon… this shot reminds me of his wonderful landscapes..
Hampton Court Flower Show…A Riot Of Colour
wonderful Hampton Court… somehow a refreshing splash when compared to Chelsea?
Ace Cafe London
Quick coffee before work, and look what I came across! Famous London venue in the sixties for rockers…
Chelsea Flower Show 2011
Been at Chelsea all day and have come back with another huge selection of images that need to be edited… gardens that cought my eye were The Daily Telegraphs by Cleve West (best in show?), Diarmuid Gavin’s, The RNIB garden, The RBC New Wild Garden and the B and Q garden. The question on everyone’s lips has been ‘but is it really gardening’?… personally, I love my allotment and getting my hands dirty… it would be a bit annoying if you left your wheelbarrow a hundred foot up in the air !
