Easter Substack and ‘A New Cottage Garden’ 2.0

Happy to announce that I have a new Substack account which is rather thin at the moment, but I am hoping to post regularly about my travels and shoots, and also my book, ‘A New Cottage Garden’. I have been on the road again lately, after a long (and painfully wet!) winter and recently poped in to see my friends ‘Garden and Wood’ who deal in fabulous antique and vintage (is there a difference?) tools and garden paraphanalia… I acquired some lovely mossy terracotta pots which I have used in a shoot with some daffodils and dog’s tooth violets from Hare Spring Cottage Plants, who have, fortuitously, moved in to my village! who would have thought, that one of the most coveted nurseries in the country, based formerly in Yorkshire, would have moved to the remoteness that is East Prawle? Devon’s most southerly and faraway village, home to 250 people and a pub… we are blessed!

My recently published book about my own garden here is East Prawle has been reprinted… available from Gemini publishers in good bookshops, or on the dreaded Amazon
